Best Western Bessemer, Alabama Hotels

Bessemer is a fine Alabama city. Set only 20 minutes south of Birmingham, Bessemer is a great summertime destination, featuring multiple amusement parks. Head to the Alabama Adventure Theme park, as Bessemer has a long been a kid-friendly history. The Bright Star Restaurant is the state's oldest eating establishment. Founded in 1907 as a small cafe, the Bright Star has now grown into a large-scale restaurant. History buffs visiting Bessemwer will get a kick out of the Bessemer Hall of History, the Downtown Bessemer National Historic District, Dr. Thomas McAdory Owen's House and the Owen Plantation House

Another must see is the Canaan Baptist Church, which is now listed on the National Historic Registry as the oldest church in Jefferson County. Canaan Baptist, established in 1818, is one year older than the state of Alabama itself.
